Experience around the world shows that learning traditional boat building skills inspires personal growth through team building, working within a maritime community and learning the traditions of the sea, together with the satisfaction gained from working with wood. Learning the theories of boat construction and the wide range of practical skills involved tends to inspire creativity, and most importantly these skills are transferable.
